We initiated a training plan and pairing-up approach to migrate individual services from the custom backend to AWS. Initial lift-shift to EC2 for first stage, followed by serverless migration as phase two.
The new setup has enabled advanced scaling, reducing backend processing overheads by significant margins. The tech team now has a better understanding of the cloud architecture and continue to investigate new opportunities to boost performance.
